Marika Kuusela

Marika Kuusela is a Global Product Manager at Medix Biochemica, based in Espoo, Finland. She is responsible for strategic portfolio management and launch excellence for IVD raw materials, with a focus on antibodies related to inflammation, cardiac, diabetes, and other clinical areas. Her role includes close collaboration with R&D to develop high-quality products and application data, and daily engagement with the Sales team to ensure effective support materials and insights are available for customer interactions. Marika brings extensive experience from life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and private healthcare. Prior to joining Medix Biochemica in 2024, she held senior leadership roles at Terveystalo, including Business Unit Director and Director of Exclusive Health Care Services, where she managed multi-million euro portfolios and led strategic development initiatives. Her earlier career includes product and account management roles at GlaxoSmithKline, where she worked on travel vaccines and pharmaceutical sales and marketing. She holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry (Molecular Biology) from the University of Oulu in Finland and has a background in research. Marika is passionate about understanding global markets and product positioning, and she is committed to fostering strong customer and stakeholder relationships while collaborating across Medix Biochemica’s R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams.
