Ryan Fitzgerald

Ryan Fitzgerald is a Product Manager at Medix Biochemica, based in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He leads product development and strategy for biospecimens, base matrices, and biologicals, supporting innovation and quality in the in vitro diagnostics sector. His role builds on over a decade of experience in scientific research, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. Ryan began his career at Lee Biosolutions, now known as Medix Biochemica USA Inc., as a summer intern in 2013 and progressed through roles including Protein Chemist, Laboratory Supervisor, and R&D Scientist II. He later served as Process Improvement Manager, where he led one of the company’s most impactful efficiency initiatives: the tank system project, which supports production for several new revenue-generating products and earned him Medix Biochemica’s “Innovation Story of the Year” award. He holds a Master of Arts in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from Drury University.
